Startup Advisory
Founder and shareholder documentation, commercial contracts, employment and consultancy papers, trade marks, and compliance appropriate to the stage of the business.

Drafting, review and negotiation of the documents on which day-to-day commercial relationships rest. In practice this covers:

- Employment contracts, offer letters and consultancy agreements
- Lease deeds, leave-and-licence agreements and property documentation

Civil, criminal and regulatory matters
A general practice before the courts and tribunals in Delhi, including:
- Writ petitions before the High Court of Delhi
- Recovery of money, including summary suits and commercial suits
- Proceedings on dishonoured cheques under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881
- Compensation claims before Motor Accident Claims Tribunals, including claims for permanent disability
- Appeals before the Municipal Corporation of Delhi
- Proceedings under the Electricity Act, 2003
- Applications concerning accounts and property attached in the course of investigation
- Claims to compassionate appointment in government service
- Disputes involving resident welfare associations
Consumer matters
Complaints and appeals before the District, State and National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commissions under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019, including matters concerning deficiency in service, defective goods and unfair trade practices.
NGO and institutional advisory
Advisory work for non-profit organisations and institutions on the documentation and compliance their activities require, including governance documents, contracts with donors and partners, memoranda of understanding with government departments, personal-data compliance under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, and the statutory requirements attaching to particular activities — for example, establishing a school, or publishing a book.
How instructions are usually taken
An initial conversation establishes what the matter involves, which forum or process it belongs to, and what documents exist. Where I am able to act, the scope of work, the manner of charging and the likely timeline are confirmed in writing before any work begins. Where a matter falls outside my practice, I will say so.
